The Double Filter Basket 14 g [LELIT] is designed for preparing a traditional double espresso or two single espressos in compatible Ø57 mm espresso portafilters. It is suitable for LELIT and Ascaso machines equipped with a 57 mm group.
Manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel, the basket offers high resistance to corrosion, daily use and repeated cleaning. Its precisely formed body and perforated base support controlled water flow through the coffee puck, helping the user achieve consistent and repeatable espresso extraction.
The basket is designed for a nominal dose of approximately 14 g of ground coffee. This capacity is suitable for classic double espresso recipes, although the final dose may vary slightly depending on the coffee origin, roast level, grind size and density.
For reliable results, the coffee should be distributed evenly and tamped with a compatible tamper. Correct grinder adjustment remains essential for controlling extraction time and beverage yield.
With a height of 25 mm, the basket is designed to fit compatible 57 mm portafilters while providing sufficient space for a standard double espresso dose.
The correct basket height is important because it affects portafilter fit, available coffee volume and clearance between the prepared puck and the group shower screen.
AISI 304 stainless steel is widely used for professional food-contact equipment due to its durability, corrosion resistance and suitability for repeated washing. The material helps the filter basket retain its shape and performance during regular professional or domestic use.

Important: Compatibility should be confirmed using the espresso machine model, portafilter dimensions and the specifications of the original basket. A nominal 57 mm group size does not guarantee compatibility with every 57 mm portafilter system.
Remove the used coffee puck and rinse the basket with warm water after each use. Regular cleaning with a professional espresso machine detergent helps dissolve coffee oils and prevents perforations from becoming blocked.
Do not use sharp metal objects to clean the holes, as these may damage or deform the perforated surface. If the basket becomes deformed, heavily worn or permanently blocked, replacement is recommended.
Is this basket intended for one or two coffees?
It is a double filter basket designed for approximately 14 g of coffee. It can be used for one double espresso or two single espressos, depending on the portafilter spout and recipe.
Does it fit every 57 mm portafilter?
No. It is designed for compatible LELIT and Ascaso 57 mm systems. The machine model, basket height and original portafilter specifications should be checked before ordering.
